I used to be a senior night auditor for a hotel in my hometown. My late father was on a decline back in 2012. Spent more time in the hospital than not until the end of October.
Hotel kept losing people or not scheduling people correctly. I ended up holding that bag because I was senior to literally everyone else there -- including the manager, who spent the entire summer being nasty, talking trash to me and about me. If I had it to do over again, I'd shove every last dollar and coin that I earned down that woman's throat to buy that time with my father back instead. They didn't value me or my contributions and didn't deserve what I did for them anyway.

Try being a rancher/horse trainer. Up 415am bed by 10, 7 days a week. Im a one man operation. No sick days or weekends. If ya dont like your job, change it. I pushed a pencil years ago. Made 4x what i make now but hated it

Sounds like they really under value their employees & customers and like it’s time for them to get a little comeuppance!

Unfortunately, such people aren't. "You just got to do the job if you want to continue working here." "Our customers expect . . . "

I used to work for a similar company in the UK. Never had enough colleagues to cover when it hit the fan, and nit paid for the overtime when covering the sick person. Working life sucks.

It happned to me i was a low level manager that my boss showed me how to be a general manager taught me the numbers, ordering, scheduling. I knew it all. I helped that man get to become a district manager. After he became a district manager his old district manager took advantage of my great work ethics. He promised promotion, promotion, promotion. Had me working double doubles. I cought someone stealing because it was that managers side piece nothing ever happened to her. The last straw was when an ex employee came to see me at a diffrent store that he put me at he suspended me. The next day I got another job. He calls me back apologizing to me a few days later. I told him i wanted my promotion he told me well come back to work and well talk about it. I told him I already had another job. The messed up thing was the store he wanted me at the next day got robbed and the manager that did work got shot. I dont feel bad for that manager because he was one of the manages that never followed protocols. He took the store deposit to the bank by himself. He walked outside got shot and robbed. He lived but that store lost another manager that day.

With a good resume, she can go anywhere. Harder in a small town like EVV

I believe that “they” depend on your loyalty to each other. I really dislike “suits”
