Joe Walsh, as a guitarist, singer and music writer, has been so underrated in music history; he needs some love!

Way before The Eagles. Whenever someone says Joe Walsh, this is the tune I pull out of the box. Absolutely my jam! Thank You so much for playing this one!

James Gang stated in 1966. The Eagles started in 1971. Joe Walsh joined the Eagles in 1976. Both uncle joe and the eagles was big BEFORE they got together and did Hotel California, which became one of the single most successful albums of all time; and the song became one of the most famous of all time.

Jimmy Fox on drums! The “James” in James Gang. Such a fantastic drummer that hardly anyone mentions anymore

James Gang was first. Then came Joe Walsh as a solo artist "Rocky Mountain Way." Then came his joining the Eagles, who were already big stars when Joe joined them.

James Gang, then the solo career, then the Eagles

Stevie Nicks has called him the love of her life. And she's had many loves. She wrote 'Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You' for him. When they were together, Joe took her out to a park and showed her a little water fountain. He told her the story of losing his young daughter in an car accident and dedicated the fountain to 'those who aren't tall enough to reach'. I'm paraphrasing.

James Gang started in the 60's, Joe didn't join the Eagles until the mid-70's. Great stuff!

First time I heard that I was in 7th grade. On a 8 track car player hooked up to a battery in my friends bedroom. Black lights with posters. Waterbeds. We lived thru the best and only real years of rock. Something was in the air.

There was a reason the Eagles hired him to play guitar

I used to love this song so much when I was a little girl.

First time I heard this, I didn’t even listen to the lyrics. I was too blown away with the music.
The phenomenal Joe Walsh on lead guitar and vocals also.
This was before Joe joined The Eagles. I hated when James Gang broke up.
You must watch the episode of Joe on “Live From Daryl’s House”. Joe is such a character
and a legendary guitarist🔊🔊😉

Joe Walsh is a rock icon. Fun fact - when the Beatles played Shea Stadium, Joe was in the crowd. Little did he know then, that many years later, one of those Beatles is now his Brother-in-law (Ringo).

I saw James Gang, Elephants Memory and Mountain back in the early 70's at St. John's Arena in Columbus, Ohio. Good times...

Way before the Eagles. The James Gang was Joe's Baby. Then everyone wanted him to join their Band. The Eagles were already a top 5 Band, but after Joe Walsh dissolved The James Gang, he joined The Eagles, and had an immediate impact. He gave them that Bad Boys element the Eagles never had. While he was never considered "The guy", he changed that Band for the better. Joe Walsh was the missing ingredient they were looking for. After that, they were at the top, or very near the top of Rock's pecking order.

"The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get" is one of the all-time greatest rock albums; ever. Certainly one of my all-timers for sure. Do yourself a favor if you haven't already and listen to it start to finish. Every song is different and unique.

Joe Walsh looked like a grunge rocker like 30 years before such a thing even existed. Cobain jacked his whole look from the dude
