Until these things are on the street with the people's modifications, I'll reserve critical judgement. That B58 motor is known to put out some serious serious brute power, and maybe this version with Toyota will make it...dare I say... Legendary. But my peers, have a little faith that Toyota will do right by this Supra.

Actual professionals who have driven the cars: "These cars feel completely different"
Catalogues: *lists different part numbers for key parts like the turbo*
Toyota: *literally guided BMW through the engine design forcing them to make the engine to their standards*
Some guy sitting on his Fast and Furious box set: "nICe z4!!! nOt a sUPra!!!!"

Everybody is pissed because Toyota didn't make the MK5 a supercar. All the people bitching and moaning about it not having 700+hp and not competing with the GT-R and NSX wouldn't be able to even afford a car with that performance anyway, and more than likely aren't even old enough to drive or have a license, so why bitch? And even if the car was 100% Toyota, people would still complain. Fraud ass so called "car enthusiasts" exposing themselves again.

The problem it’s that this car is not a Supra...it’s really how much fast or fun it will drive because it will never be a Supra.

It seems that they didn't had in mind a challange for them (Toyota). They just made it to be. Their atitude, wordless, aprove that the didn't thought something like: "We want this Supra to have the same feeling, we want to make everybody happy, and we want to beat everyone else."
They just done it, w/o coming with something great, never seen, itelligent.

335hp? I've a feeling it's underrated especially with an estimated 0-60mph in 4.1 sec. Thats more closer to a 400hp car. The the B58 engines are putting out 330whp or more in stock configuration from what I've been researching. If it is then toyota and BMW partnership just might pay off and be a good deal for $50k. I'll wait to see when the first supra hits the dyno.

The Supra is like the NSX where they’re really victims of their post production, fanboy-fantasy success. Yeah I’m disappointed it has BMW DNA but it does have the potential to be something great. If you guys follow racing you would know how seriously crazy Gazoo Racing is in Rally and Formula 1. They also help build hotter Toyota vehicles in other countries that are great but no one knows that. GR has worked alongside Toyota for the tune and driving dynamics so that already seems promising. Toyota is notorious for overbuilding engines in the past for reliability reasons too so it kinda makes sense why the engine was tuned to only push 320 hp to the Z4s 370-380 hp. The only question I have is; did Toyota really try to put this engine through their own pace? In my opinion if Toyota broke down that inline 6 and rebuilt it to their spec I would feel more comfortable.
