DHL van Close pass driver on his phone too.

A DHL van is driven close to a cyclist, within a few centimetres. The van never really gets more than a few seconds ahead, and when eventually caught at the traffic lights the driver was seen using his phone.

Standard police penalty would be:

1 - pretty week, maybe a 3 points and a paltry fine, and;

2 - pointless. It will have zero effect in tackling this kind of behaviour, only segregated infrastructure will do that

n.b. There is not enough evidence of phone use to prosecute I will only be a close pass

Your place on the road is not correct when he passes. You have to cycle on the uttermost left side of the road.
