Opening a Mysterious Puzzle Box

This is an interesting one. I would have probably been stuck for hours.

I tend to break things often by putting too much force the wrong way. Since I would not want to break it. I would not have dared pulling that hard for a very long time. It is the long struggle of thinking that it can't be that obvious. It must be something else. And, you keep hoping there is some sort of complicated mechanism. Also, maybe, if it was graded as a level 3, I would be more likely to pull harder. The fact that you think it is a level 7 makes you less likely to use only brute force to solve it in my opinion.

I'm not sure I like that solution. It seems like if they encourage you to take what you learned from this box and solve other boxes that way, you could very easily end up breaking other puzzle boxes.

In my city in southern Germany there is a stall each winter during the Christmas Market with all kind of puzzles - twisty puzzles as well as many different kind of these boxes and other high quality wooden and metal puzzles. It's really awesome!

the magnet has a coating that prevents oxidation. your ground down magnet will turn to dust quite quickly
