also yes if you watch any of my content you know I always wear long socks (as that does solve the problem of blisters usually) BUT I wanted to test them without adding anything that could “help” their results if that makes sense. Test them 😅

You may need to wear ankle socks to prevent the rubbing above your feet.

They are road running shoes! Not for trails, or gravel. Very light, but they 100% do make your run easier / conserve energy, even if it’s 2-3%

If you wear appropriate socks it should eliminate the rubbing! The rubber boots sound is real 😂 I prefer to think of them as rocket blasters, though

If you were wondering, they’re 180-275, based on color and size. The ones she got were 275.

For anyone interested & wanting a second opinion: I have had these for a year, and I highly recommend them if you are wanting to set a new pb, or running in an event. They shaved many minutes off my runs, whether that is a 5km, 10km, 15km etc. I cannot run as well in any other shoes than these. The alphaflys are worn by the fastest runners for a reason.

Running with those socks gives me the chills

I’d love to see a comparison on the time it takes to run 10km with normal shoes and those shoes to see if it helps with running faster

What did the running feel like? Did you feel extra bounce or energy return? I upgraded to modern foam runners from old kinvaras I bought in bulk & it was amazing, like floaty & smooth.

I was told for long distance running to go up a size so that when your feet naturally swell after a long run there is still room to expand. It also allows for your toes to be in their natural widened position versus cramped. I didn’t think it would work and when I finally sized up a couple years ago, the pain I would feel in my feet is pretty much all gone! I also have week ankles and it didn’t affect them much! Hope this is helpful to someone who gets uncomfortable feet when running! :)

Don’t wear carbon shoes for training! Race shoes, go for it. But training in shoes with a plate (which I believe these do) and a big stack height cause injuries. That easier running feel means your muscles are doing less work, and get weaker if you use them a lot. Normal shoes for everyday running, race in these. You’ll be faster than ever. Train hard, fight easy

I’m on my 3rd pair. Wore them during a half marathon yesterday fresh out the box. Ran a 1:24. Ran the last 10K of the race in 39:16 and the last 5K in 18:57. I was literally getting faster with every mile. These shoes are amazing. No blisters. No pain whatsoever except a slightly sore right knee which is to be expected after a half marathon. However, I have a friend who is still on his 1st pair. 3 races and he has had blood blisters after every race. Like any shoe it depends on the runner whether they’re a good fit or not. I love these shoes.

When I got into running back in 2001, I used to require a couple of prescription painkillers just to get started because my knees would hurt so much. After a couple of weeks with no progress regarding healing, my doc asked about my shoes. I’d been wearing the same pair of Asics for the past several years…which I thought was laughable. But after running in my new pair of very generic New Balance running sneakers, I realized that this had been the issue all along.

Crucial advice from a great salesman friend of mine he gave me 20+ years ago: NEVER go cheap when it comes to your shoes or your bed!

I started running and bought them, they deff help my knee pain, it gives me that extra support since I have flat feet. Happy running 😊

Back in the 1980’s I would only race in Nike Spiridon Gold. Light, fast, looked wicked cool.

I'm so glad I found you, I did 10 seasons of XC and track in high school. My parents noticed it helped my depression. You're def getting me back into long distance

I’d argue it’s less about being a recreational runner and more about how you used them. For example, even an elite runner wouldn’t use them for a simple easy run. They’re for workouts and races. Also; wear real socks to avoid rubbing 😂

Usain Bolt doesn't wear anything Nike...

He's Puma for life.

I have a pair. They are super unstable and definitely do not recommend for street wear. Kind of like you don't want to drive an F1 for daily commute.
