If you are troubleshooting a main and sub panel with dissimilar breaker mfrs, you need to calibrate box 1, test, remove battery (or wait 5-10 minutes) to clear calibration memory, recalibrate/calibrate box 2, test box 2.
Its a hassle that a better $60 klein tool that doesn't need to calibrate can handle better.
But.... ive had success with the HF tool. Best to use a fresh battery for long run reception when troubleshooting your mansion.

Mine won't detect receptacles at the far end of the house. It doesn't do any beeping at all. The transmitter light is on but nothing on any breaker at all. This could be dangerous to a novice user.
