As long as the FPC still needs to be pressed with your finger for the screen to work, this means that the repair process is not complete yet! As one commenter mentioned, you should solder the pins one by one or check the fault that is causing the screen to not work properly.

That's a proper hard job. I work for Samsung fixing these phones and those connectors being damaged is very rare on the high end phones. That phone must have taken a really hard hit.

I had this problem in the past it was the anchors I use the solder weak to wipe them out reflow the connector and then i solder back the anchors with soldering iron

at first I was thinking, maybe the screen broken because fall damage, but then, it's just the soldering problem
