The Owen Hart tragedy was so avoidable if it weren't for Vince doubling down on it AND being a cheapskate when hiring the company that would rig Owen up. It was found that the company hired had no experience in that kind of stunt before, was hired to save money, and that not only were the harness and release mechanisms faulty - they weren't the right kind for that stunt/weight. Add on top of that the knowledge that Owen was essentially begging Vince not to do it and you have one of many many many reasons I am glad that monster is no longer in charge of WWE, or any employee.

EDIT: For anyone interested, there's a Dark Side of the Ring ep on it. That and the Darker side of the ring series here on YT are good for wrestling tragedies/true crime.

Emma Brown's T-Shirt saying she's up to no good is pretty haunting. The whole case is crazy, honestly. Owen Hart's was probably the saddest to me. Falling to your death has to be one of the worst ways to go.

Owen Hart's accident is just harrowing. Jim Ross explained in interviews he was told that Hart had died just seconds before going back on the air and he had to announce it. Needless to say, he wasn't exactly 100% into the rest of the show. Keep in mind, people in the wrestling business tend to be very close-knit (for better and for worse) and Ross was also involved in talent relations, so he knew these guys personally and directly hired many of them, so it must have hit especially hard for him.

When I learned he threw her kitten out the car window, 100% of my compassion for him instantly disappeared.

The final image and message you gave is very true.
My parents know my online friends and irl friends well enough that we every now and then play games as a family with my friends. Its like once in blue moon, but my dad always get giddy when we play a game with my friends. He likes my friends a little too much.
Love your videos, as they make nice background noise for working.

Really don't know how people can look at that one picture and say she just looks neutral.. She looks like she's in bad distress and is about to cry.

Omaima acting in self defense makes perfect sense but I would think that what happened afterwards was possibly psychosis due to trauma…? Like them getting engaged after mere days sounds like a good example of a significantly older man taking advantage of a young woman who was vulnerable. Then, terrible abuse followed almost immediately when they married (which likely left her to solely rely on him as it’s unclear if she had a support system in the states.)

I just love these photos/videos with disturbing back stories. I am one of those people who enjoy getting scared or freaked out and thus subject really gets to me. When I look at these normal looking photos I think about the fact that usualy, those people don't know they are about to have something very bad happen to them very soon. That can happen to any of us at any time, be I ng fine and happy, snap a selfie, 2 minutes later your dead. So, so terrifying to think about.

These are really sad. Whats worse is that the girl didnt make it in the last one. After shooting her dad she probably felt immense guilt and decided to shoot herself not knowing her father was going to survive. Really sad.

Im from Calgary, and I'm a bit surprised I've never heard of the Owen Hart case despite how notorious is was/is. It's so haunting to think his last words were 'Look out!' As he was dropping 70ft from the ceiling; He knew he wouldn't survive.

Also I think it's so chillingly clear that there was so much more wrong than just a defected and not-secured harness. Vince was constantly skimming off the top and cutting ties for his own benefit; so I'm definitely glad that Vince isn't involved with the WWE.

I”ve heard of the Owen Hart accident but I had no idea it was in my city, makes it a little more disturbing for me not going to lie.

Owen Hart yelling at people to look out so they weren't injured in his fall speaks volumes to how great of a man he was. Falling from 70 feet and still thinking about other people first... always blows my mind every time I hear it.

What was not mentioned with Owen Hart, the quick release also only had 6 lbs of pressure. Meaning, it only took 6 lbs to release the harness. Owen needed a much stronger harness because he was an extremely muscular man, so 6lbs is minimalistic. Had the harness release had been heavier, maybe an accident wouldn't have occurred, or if the accident happened, he wouldn't have been so high and probably not have died.
