I realize now that I should have explained, when I say "Am chord", it is obviously not an Am chord because of the capo, its just easier to explain chords shapes that way

That capo should be slid up about half an inch to avoid fret buzz. It's supposed to be just behind the fret you're capoing. But if you're able to capo it there without getting any missfretting then that's fine too.
