Is the 2020 Jeep Gladiator Sport a truck WORTH the PRICE?

The ALL NEW Gladiator is finally here and hitting the showrooms. Under the hood of this Jeep Gladiator Sport is the 3.6L V6 pumping out 285 HP and is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. With 4x4 off road capability and that Jeep personality, is this the mid-size truck to buy?

Why do car reviewers continue to perpetuate the silly claims about the window controls and their location being in the center console underneath the AC instead of on the doors. What are you going to do, roll your windows up and down while the doors are removed? Not a big deal but it is a bit irritating.

Thank you for reviewing the base model not a lot of people do.

Like how you used “it’s a Jeep” when you were pointing out everything they skimped out on for quality.

Just now enjoyed your review of the Gladiator Joe. I think I’ve found what I’ve been looking for. A combo of fun and practical and not another SUV in a saturated world full of them!

Came here for a review of the Sport...instead, like 90% of all reviewers, you got it wrong...its a 'Sport S'...not a Sport model. Sport model has manual locks & windows...the radio & gauge setup on the Sport is all different...this is not a Sport, very clearly a Sport S. The Gladiator has 4 Models... Sport, Sport S, Overland & Rubicon. You're reviewing a SPORT S

Nice truck. Too expensive. I do love that you can get it in a manual though. And love that it's got a handle for the 4x4. Old school. Great review Joe!

Bought this exact truck today and added some take off Rubicon wheels/tires/suspension with fox shocks. I got 10k off msrp, so out goes my 19’ f150. It was a deal I couldnt turn down. Nice to be back in a Jeep since my last JK with 37’s few years ago. This review helped, thank you!

The problem is you'll need to add 5k or more to get a lift and wheels. Stock tires look like my cars wheel set up. Over priced.

The biggest difference you did not mention is the eight speed automatic transmission which gives it tons more acceleration over the JK

Good review Joe. Couple things you might consider covering in a future review: 1) show the electrical connectors at the doors, I'm curious where / how the harness is unplugged. 2) spare tire / jack or fix flat and compressor 3) what do you think the biggest tire you can put on that thing without putting a lift on it, 4) what are standard axle ratios? 5) what is the fuel tank size / range. That would look pretty good with some real bumpers, a winch and some wheels and tires but then that might put it in the 50K range (which is a bunch for a jeep).

I worked for Chrysler long enough to learn to never buy a Chrysler. Financially poor company where every hour is 4:59PM Friday

Over 8K mark up in Oklahoma city. I can't imagine what the diesel version will go for...

I actually like the looks of the Gladiator. The engine is reliable, but is everything else around it? FCA has quality issues. I also wish they made this in a two door. Overall, it's a nice truck. Would I buy one? Hell no. Not with a $45k MSRP for the sport model. I can get a Colorado ZR2, which has more off road goodies, for about $5k cheaper. Jeeps have become way overpriced. Just my opinion.

I have a 2017 Toyota Tacoma Off-road with everything... a 2005 Jeep TJ unlimited 2 door. I would rather have a 2 door model of the Gladiator but I like it. The price isn’t out of hand. My Tacoma MSRP was $39, 000 when I bought it

Feel bad for all the folks who paid 45 grand for this, they are currently listed for 28-30k just be patient people when manufactures launch new vehicles

I had a Jeep CJ 5 years ago so my Jeep days are no more. I like the looks of the other mid-sized trucks better but I know some Jeep lovers will like this truck. Good job as usual Joe! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸

Love the gladiator, and I’m close to pulling the trigger on buying one myself. Be real though, those OEM wheels on the sports are hideous.
