1:23 when Mason introduces himself, you can see Alex pause for a second. She’s a little hesitate at first. I think she was thinking about what future Harper once asked her, “Oh, you seem upset. Did Mason breakup with you already?”

I remember I also had to take a moment when Mason said his name. For me, I thought Mason was going to be a future boyfriend that Alex meets after the show had ended. Just a sort of fill in line for the episode. I did not expect Harper’s side comment to be an actual foreshadowing line that was meant to insinuate a new character was going to be introduced.

I think both Alex and I were contemplating if this was the boy Harper mentioned who supposably breaks up with her.

Turns out we were right, but none of us expected these two to go through a lot together. None of us knew that the Mason mystery boy turns out to be a werewolf or how involved Mason becomes in Alex’s normal and wizard life.

I gotta give props to the writers on that one. They hinted a new love interest that may or may not be a bit serious but did not give away their many adventures together or how their feelings for each other grow through out the series -how the writers also hid the fact that they breakup more than once so I wasn’t prepared for the multiply heartbreaks while shipping these two.- The writers wrote a foreshadowing plot point line that said a lot but also didn’t really give anything away

This always felt weird for me, considering two facts.

2. I had a big crush on Selena Gomez growing up XD
