How do you import sessions from different DAWs? Hope that question makes sense.

but just one thing that i think you don't understand about the dynamics: It's impossible that the kick became punchier when you changed the release and the attack of the compressor, Cause the compressor wasn't ding anything cause the ratio was on 1:1, 0
