in addition to the reflowing, an ultrasonic cleaner might help clean some of the crud out that you can't see... all in all, you are doing God's work here saving these old games.

Like i know those ones where in terrible shape but for the fun of it i would of tried to see if i could get them working again before tossing them in the bin

I have the same issue with a Pokémon Crystal I’m restoring. It reads the game and then white screens! I found that if you put it in a GBA and apply down pressure to it, it works… as long as you hold the push the cart the entire time.

The fact I don't like Elon makes it funnier to me

Maybe could you do a video on how you make the stickers, or even a short? Like the whole process?

5:18 Probably broken traces, these can be solved by using a miltimeter then soldering a thin copper wire on the broken traces.

Sixty nine game boy games you say?

As Scott's Thoughts would say -- Nice.

I was chewing gum when he opened the first cart. It fell out

Dude did you order a batch of games from Fukushima Prefecture? Lol looks like they were all in salt water

That looks like a box of games that someone's mum put in the shed when they moved out. Not me, but I can see how I might have dome that if my adult child had them taking up space in a room they no longer live in. One of those cartridges looks like it has a snail track where a snail ate through the paper. Note to future mums, put them in a big sealed plastic bag too. :D

One guy I have watched will scrape the solder mask away to solder tiny jumper wires to fix broken traces, then add solder mask with hardens quickly when applying UV.

As far as the reflow goes, I'd try a hot air rework station and liquid solder, desolder and clean with alcohol before reworking the board

I agree, Elon is hilarious period. I'm doubtful of his true intentions with buying Twitter, but the whole situation, especially the reactions from all sides, is still hilarious

Do the japanese games work? Obviously you wont know what any text works. Recently fixed one of my childhood games. Mine are well stored no damage like here. The rom chip just needed all the joints redone on one side and the game works perfect.
