Birth Control Initiative Successfully Reaches Rochester Teens
Показать описание
The long acting reversible contraception initiative (LARC) - led by Drs. Andrew Aligne and Kate Greenberg of the University of Rochester Medical Center - has helped significantly reduce teen pregnancies in Rochester. This safe, easy form of contraception has been adopted by 25 percent of teenagers in Rochester, a rate five times greater than the New York State or the U.S. overall.
in the following interview, Jennifer Johnson - director of family and community outreach at Golisano Children's Hospital - talks about the LARC program with Drs. Aligne and Greenberg, as well as the success of the Hoekelman center, where the program originated from.
The LARC initiative is supported by a grant from the Greater Rochester Health Foundation.
