Ranking the biggest X-Factors for WVU Football in 2022

With the start of football season just about two weeks away, we look at who on WVU will be an X-Factor this season. Wesley Shoemaker and Aaron Parker give their top 10 X-Factors while also giving a brief fall camp update.

Jonathan Tyler Daniels!!! You're correct. There is not a game on this schedule bigger than what he's already faced and he's done it handicapped at times 2018 by a poor OL, HC and OC. 2020 and 2021 with injuries and Kirby's game manager system. Against Clemson UGA started 4 WR's making thier 1st career start and JT was hurt (shoulder) too. That's alot to ask facing the #2 defense in the nation. Brock Bowers dropped a perfectly placed TD in the back of the endzone too ( He catches that same pass later in the season. It was his 1st career D1 game.

So you're right he's battle tested and has never shown any signs of being intimidated. When a 18 year old can skip a year of HS and face 5 top 25 teams and preform reasonably well considering his OL and HC who was on the hot seat and eventually fired you know you have a guy who's going to battle.
