The Genetics of Frontotemporal Dementia
Показать описание
Dr. Adam Boxer of the UCSF Memory and Aging Center discusses gene discovery in frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
Approximately 30-40% of individuals with FTD have an affected first-degree relative. Conversely, 50-80% of individuals appear to be the first person with FTD in the family. In these cases (called sporadic or nonfamilial FTD), other individuals in the family do not appear to be at increased risk for developing the condition.
