Based on Matthew 24:36 Christians believe that not even Jesus the Son knows the exact day/hour of a certain eschatological event – whatever that may be (The Rapture and/or Second Coming). However, in the book of Revelation, Jesus the Son gives John the apostle the revelation that God (the Father) gave Him to be given to His servants (Revelation 1:1). I can imagine the Son not being given the whole knowledge of eschatological timings while He was limiting Himself to be in the flesh humbling Himself to be in the form of a servant. However, once he was glorified and ascended to the “right hand of God”, once His glory was fully restored (John 17) because he became obedient to death on a cross as per God’s eternal plan (Philippians 3), I cannot imagine the Son not to know the day or the hour - or any other information privy within the Godhead. I.e. The Son refused that knowledge while in the flesh but now He is fully aware of it. He may still not reveal it to the Church, which is His prerogative to do so or not. I am a bit tired of people using Matthew 24:36 to keep claiming the Son does not know the day or the hour.
