The fact it’s “going back for the money” and not actual revenge upset me. That camp meant everything to Arthur and I just wanted him to pass where the camp ended, felt poetic

Helping John - High honor: the only true ending

Go for the money - High honor: the Most badass ending.

I think that ending being canon makes the most sense, considering it’s called Red Dead REDEMPTION. By doing some good and helping John at the end of his life, Arthur gains some redemption for his lifetime of bad actions.

High honor while going back for the money is the most badass ending imo, something about still wanting to stick it to Dutch and Micah while killing everything in his path is a guilty pleasure, and you don’t get executed by the coward Micah and instead die by viciously bleeding out, but not without leaving scars on Micah.

I personally felt like helping John and then getting shot by Micah literally made the most sense.

It is obviously the canon ending. The Game is about redemption. If you choose to go back for the money, you are choosing revenge. The exact opposite of what arthur would support. I like to roleplay the story as much as possible. I will play the game ip until you learn you have TB as an absolute menace to the world. Then turn it aeound and seek that redemption. I fully believe that is the best way to play the game.

I mean yes i would say so to but i also think there is a reason to go back for the money. Arthur goes directly toward the pinkertons and gang meaning john has even more time to get away wile arthur sacifices himself. But even if Arthur would have made it he woulf have given all the money to john and abigail so Jack can have a normal Life.

I think going back for the money is more about being vengeful than greedy, he did everything Dutch asked him to do for the sake of this money that would set them free, so he'll be damned to let it go in the end. I always choose to save John though, and I cannot bring myself to do a low honor playthrough 😅
