I was a dangerous tree faller on a wild fire crew for several years. My job was, basically, to make the area safe for the crew to work in. Therefore, a screw-up like that, absolutely could not be left behind. In a scenario like that, I would find another tree to drop on it, that would have enough weight, and far enough away to have the momentum, to bring mess to the ground
