Of course their were other AS models being made throughout that time like the cadets, but I'm just talking about the AS Front-Trap-way ones that were still being made in Canada at that time... (A lot of other Youtube videos call them reverse trap toilets)

If you notice on the ones that flush straight down, the jet hole is smaller than on the ones that spin.

Forward Trappers were made atleast once in evry decade. Even in the early 1980's they were producing these. When the ban was lifted in 1994, Gerber was the first to restart production, and now we have the Kohler Numi. Canada never banned these, but the suppliers of toilets were American so they stopped making these in Canada too. But Gerber has resumed production of atleast an affordable Front Trapper. But it needs a wall-mount tank or a flushometer.

WOW! The only 1960s reverse trappers ive seen had the flat-front style bowl like the Modernus. Never seen one with the curved bowl front. Also the traps looked like a smaller Modernus. Ive only seen 2 maybe 3 1960s AS reverse trappers.

It's amazing how these toilets evolved. I'm guessing the washdown type was made until 1963, the old swirling design from '63 to '65? and the modern one from '68 to possibly '80. But what's strange is that an American A/S Modernus from 1970 was exactly like the primitive 1960's type. And they use the old square bases, which were made until the 60's.

They are very rare to find still! I haven't got to see a Gerber one! Hopefully I will find one soon!! I wish i could get to see in person a Kohler Numi and check the insides!!

Ohh... thanks!! I made the beat in a program called reason!! I'm going to make a longer version of that song for my computer game I'm making!! When did American Standard discontinue the 4070 tank (the one with the offset flush connection)? My 1969 catalog lists it, so AS still sold that tank then.
