In this video I attempt to do some reception testing. Keep in mind that band conditions can effect the results and at any given time you can get different results. As they say in the commercials, "Your results may vary".

The lights and computer . Not too noisy. Figuring that I have solar and inveter. So for real Dx conditions I have to turn off every thing. light a candle. And get a good mug of wine and Dx all night. A real fun thing to do. Tks om Fer good show. De kv4 li. 73.

Tom, I so enjoy your video's. You have such a grasp on all those radios. That looks like a portable desk top. I agree, I don't like the muting either.

I agree with that muting inbetween frequencies being very annoying! I have a Tecsun 660 that does the same thing and I always feel like I am missing something. But the 660 has a BFO and gets SSB, and I can componsate for it. Nice review, I do like the sound of that Eaton.

Thank's for those great shows Tom, very helpfull. I agree for the annoying muting between frequencies. I am exacly like you searching for new signals across bands and this radio is disappointed me just for that. I'm waiting for the SSB version (Satellit) and hope it doesn't have the same problem ;-)

Thanks for this reception testing Tom I was looking forward to seeing the radio in action (definitely nice audio), I will agree that receiver muting/chuffing during tuning is like nails on a chalk board isn't it? no doubt a clever person will figure out a way to negate the muting (hopefully).

Still loving the orange inverse display.

Thank you for educating us on this new radio. Sounds like a very nice program listening radio. Unfortunately the muting keeps it from being a good band scanning DXer. If they turned all muting off I would get this one.
