Manhasset Bay! I used to spend my summers swimming in that bay - totally poluted (junk from boaters and marinas, but most probably from industry) back in the 50's. Expected to die from some weird toxins, but I'm still healthy and disease free at 77.

Doctors, I have a layman's question:
1. It seems like a vaccine that provided a vast reduction in Mpox lesions would be better than nothing at all, but, is there then the risk that the virus mutates and becomes more vaccine-resistant?

It's great that things like the expansion of telehealth means there is some preparation for the next pandemic, but I wish there were more resources put into PREVENTION of the next pandemic. I hope that Kamala appoints a pandemic czar, who will liaise with bodies like the CDC and WHO etc.

Curious if n the mix of az vs j in the paper comparing them with novavax and moderna. Worth noting az didn’t pre fusion stabilize the spike and jj was done as a single shot. So these differences may be involved in the different results seen.

I’m still hearing denial and conspiracy theories in the clinics where I work. It’s disappointing (but not surprising) to hear it from the nurses, but very disheartening to hear it from the MDs. We are all trained to follow the evidence. 🫤

I strongly follow the opinion of the Florida Department of Health and also advise to NOT take mRNA against SARS-COV-2. Updated guidelines from 12 september.
