MEMORY VERSE
Genesis 6:5-6(NKJV)
5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.

Application questions
1. What are some similarities or “likenesses” you notice between yourself and other family members? Does this impact how you view yourself as made in the image and likeness of God? How so?
2. Do you find you try to take on too much in life rather than rely on His mercy? What are some areas in your life where you struggle to rely on His mercy?
3. How aware are you of your sin nature? Do you think there is sin in your life you are unaware of?
4. How can we focus our attention on the big picture when so many other (little) things matter? How does being made in the image of God change your perspective of the big picture?
5. What strategies do you have in your life to prevent sin nature from taking over? How do habits play a role in the renewal of our minds so that we do not fall into the patterns of this world? How are we able to have such a sin nature while also being made in the image of God?
