Beach scenes from early in the morning at Echo Beach in Canggu, Bali.
There was a good 2-3ft swell running on this day, and due to the light wind it was super clean early on.
Most beaches in Bali are now closed to the public. Batu Bolong, Berawa, Nelayan & Echo beach were barricaded off late on the 29th March. Nobody is allowed on the beach to surf, run or even to walk the dog.
How long this will last is anyone's guess? It could be a handful of days, to a month or even 6 months depending on how strict the local authorities are in managing the current world problems.
On this day the Pererenan beach entrance was still open (or unguarded) meaning surfers and beachgoers could filter down onto Echo beach. It could be a different story tomorrow so this day could have been the last surf before the lockdown.
Surfwise Pererenan rivermouth right hander was working very well on this morning, the sandbar was inconsistent and Echo beach left was distinctly average.
