Ridiculous how auto-generated the commentary around the swans sounds leading into this year. "Comeback, road to redemption, etc" was all the talk leading into the 2023 season after getting humiliated in the 2022 GF, and it's identical leading up to this season. They spent two years 'showing' the AFL that they were a side who deserved to be back in the premiership conversation, walking on water in the 2024 finals, led by the 'best player in the AFL', only to put up an effort on grand final day that is still being laughed at by most AFL fans... again. There is no reason to believe that they could get back to the grand final in 2025 and perform.
