Why So Many Six-Toed Cats Live At The Hemingway House

If you visit the Hemingway Home and Museum in Key West, Florida, you can learn all about Ernest Hemingway, the man who is considered one of the greatest authors of the 20th century. However, if you’re not into the whole literature thing, you can also see a lot of six-toed cats on the grounds, too.

The technical name for the felines' condition is polydactyly, but don’t worry about the six-toed cats you see. That's because it doesn’t cause them any pain or other serious issues. My cat just got babies and 2 of them got 6 toes and they were born Christmas, I was 😲 shocked when I saw them toes , it blew my mind

We rescued and rehomed a poly kitten - I named him Yogi because it looked like he had catcher's mitts on his front paws. The name stuck 💕

I was stationed in Key West for a few years and, those kitties are protected by city, county, state and federal law. God is the only one who can help you if you harm one, and you better not be trying to take one home.

Im I the only one that found weird that he was turn down from the military bc of poor eyesight then accepted as an ambulance driver?? Lol that's like me being limped fort life and getting a job as marathon runner 🤔😅
