My father, Fred Corby, died on April 7 at 102, missing his 103rd birthday by 46 days.Dad was a decorated Army veteran of WW2 , serving in England, France and Germany. He was part of the prep teams for the Normandy invasion and survived the Battle of the Bulge. In the past 2 years he survived COVID.twice, RSV once and pneumonia twice. He died during his 3rd pneumonia battle. He was a builder, a battler, a survivor, a member of the Greatest Generation as well as a quiet, modest man. He left a huge hole in my soul. Rest in well deserved peace, Dad.

People thought the Allman Brothers Band would never recover after Duane Allman’s death. Dickey Betts took the reins and made some of their best music.

Lastly, and I'm surprised this wasn't mentioned, I want to remember those who lost their lives 29 years ago today in the Oklahoma City bombing

We could use another Robert McNeil these days. Someone who reports the news without trying to make it into a reality TV episode. RIP, sir.

My mom called me to tell me about Dickey Betts. She's 81 and couldn't remember his name, but we both remembered Ramblin' Man, and how his guitar sounded. Growing up in a music loving household is good.

From an Australian, thank you for acknowledging those who lost their lives in the tragic attack at Bondi shopping centre in Sydney. It is appreciated. ❤

A salute to Bob Graham. It would be nice if more politicians worked some of their constituents jobs to understand the needs of their district and how regular people live. 👍

We lost Gary Rossington and now Dickie Betts. There must be one heck of a show going on somewhere. The talent of the two of those men can't be measured. We won't see talent like that again. RIP.

Dickie Betts. One of the best. I Saw the Allman Bros. Band in Long Beach, Ca. in 1971 when I was 16 years old.
We had the front row!

I just wanted to say a big *THANK YOU* on behalf of the fans to all of the the *People* who made this website and *YouTube Channel* possible. A very *SPECIAL THANK YOU* must also go out to our public speaker *Linnea* for whom all these people that we've *LOST* always have a final honorable salute/tribute placed upon them!!! You always manage to spell everybody's name right as well as say it in just the *RIGHT* way, which still *AMAZES* me to this day.... ~ JonseyG 👲💖

Poor Pooch Tavares, Tavares' songs always bring back happy memories and remind me of my latter childhood years in the late 70s. They were one of the best disco/soul groups of that era. RIP Pooch 🙏

MacNeil was on the press bus in the motorcade when JFK got shot. Went into the Book Depository and used the phone to give an early report.
