The emergency crews coated the runway with foam and passengers said they didn't even feel a bump when the plane landed. Pilots did good. No injuries or casualties

Actually easier to belly land a big plane than a small one. The weight helps slow speed balancing much easier. They can slow to as little as 100kph while still keeping the nose up. (You can tell the pilot did this because the plane ended up coming down on the rear) Makes for a real soft landing in comparison to a smaller craft.

My true shock is that the plane didn't explode. Engines aren't meant to handle 60+ tonnes of weight. It was a miracle they didn't collapse and set ablaze.
