This is the most coherent Tommy has ever been in an interview.

The lighting during this interview is terrible. The shadow from his glasses makes him look much older. Like in the thumbnail, he looks like an old lady..

"It is hard work and people don't know about it" in his hearts of hearts he believed on what he created, then who are we to make fun of this guy. RESPECT. at least he fucking tried. he is his own artist.

There's something zen-like in Tommy's 'clueless-ness'. Sometimes in this world you have to be crazy to not be afraid to do what you want.

2:44 he cannot tell you that, it's confidential!

Tommy does not have any knowledge on conventional film making, and he has no clue how to properly write a scene and has even less of a clue how to act in that scene, but he tried his hardest to make something special and put his heart and soul into it, and for that reason I have the upmost respect for him. As an aspiring film maker, the story of a guy from San Francisco that had no clue how to properly make a movie but did it anyways regardless of how people saw him is a great inspirational story, and I hope "The Masterpiece" is able to convey the passion of this guy who is clearly out of his mind, but you can't help but respect and admire.

This is the first interview with Wiseau that I've seen that didn't feature him saying "next question".

I have to say, this is probably the most candid thing I've seen him in. It has got to be incredibly hard to create something from the ground up like he did and have it torn apart by critics, but I like that he seems humbled by the fans who have embraced him. I know that if I went through all that work and the end result was ill-received, I'd probably withdraw from the public immediately. Of course, if the story in the book of Tommy's past is true, he has had to be a stronger person than most to survive. Also, a brilliant salesperson can turn lemons into lemonade. He's a cool dude!

Some say The Room is a bad movie, but at least is more original than 90% of the stuff that comes out of Hollywood.

You can say what you want about this man, but he has accomplished so much in his life. But beyond that, and most importantly, he makes people happy. People who truly understand this man's work can truly appreciate this man's work. Look, life is short and sometimes we fall into a vacuum of unimportant and meaningless things. If Tommy Wiseau can make people happy and smile, at least for the duration of a film, then, by all means, let's all watch the man do his thing!!

Hes actually a really sincere guy I kind of feel sorry for him, but I'm also happy he is riding the wave, even though its not the wave he expected.

For as unusual and outright odd as he is, and how Greg said he acted in public to other people at the beginning of The Disaster Artist, he really does seem to be the weirdest lovable fella I've seen in the public eye. The last chapter of the book had me ready to cry getting to see him have his awful, awful movie premier. But good on him -- he's done more than most of us will, and he did it all without compromising. There's respect to be earned in that.
