In my instructions it says in fig12 to install the seat plug with the slotted through hole but I see you didn't do or have that and have a cheepo rain cover. Was your instructions different than mine? My kit didn't come with the seat plug and had to contact big bike parts to send it to me.

The problem is not the Hondaline backrest it’s the bag you picked. I have the Kuryakyn Wanderer Touring Seat Bag that is curved to perfectly fit the the Goldwing passenger seat. I would say I have been disappointed with the Hondaline backrest in the comfort department

Looks 💯 more comfortable than the Honda backrest. Now add the luxury of removing it for a passenger seat luggage bag,
It's a WINNER.
