KORG Legacy Collection - 5 Potential Candidates

In this video I'll share my thoughts on five possible additions to the KORG Legacy Collection. Do any of these choices appeal to you?

Totally agree with your choices.

I would add the Korg Trident - arguably their greatest analog synth with a built in string and brass section. 2 VCO's per voice.

i would LOVE to see the O1/w and Trinity VST instruments since i use them heavily on my carrier..
i still have 3 korg trinity but no more O1/w... just a couple of X5D, X2 76 keys and O5/rw..
for gigging, i just use light weight controller and a laptop... and those sounds could be handy... i just use Triton VST for now.

I feel like Korg O1/W should be a huge release, because me and buddies on Discord been discussing for years if Pharrell and Chad Hugo (The Neptunes) were using Korg Instruments.

As we come to find out, it is true that they used the Triton heavily, but 01/W is the missing piece to the everything as we found out more of the presets they used.

Hey Matt - I don't have the Legacy and I'm further behind in my knowledge of Korg than you but I know you'll have given the matter some thought which is not always apparent in some of their decisions 😊 The best thing they could do to encourage me -and many others - to get on board would be to reduce the price 😄 But we know that ain't gonna happen...

Hello Matt. Interesting thoughts. I agree Korg have made some strange decisions of late. I have a Kronos and although I love it, it isn’t as relevant today as it once was for the reasons you mention. Other than perhaps stage/live use. The synth releases of late have been rising in price and lack excitement in my view.

I wish they would do one for the Maxi Korg. They probably won´t because it's basically just two Mini Korgs in one. But I wish they´d do it anyway.

I hope they add the MS2000 and the Electribe-A (EA-1), soon, because they were 2 of the synths used in the music of my childhood game, Metroid Prime.

I know the microkorg is basically an MS2000, but I hope they would release the original synth as software.

I would 100% buy a soft synth of Korg's first product the Donca Matic. Why not do something fun and wacky? They could even do something spicy with it like Arturias new 303 emulator has a polymetric sequence which is such an innovative addition that complements the way the instrument is typically played.
