I wish my parents would've forced me to play piano when I was a child.

Honestly watching this really shows you how intelligent the people at sweetwater are. I haven't had one issue with anything that I've purchased their. Amazing!~

Just bought for the Italian piano and the Harpsichord. I’ve been playing classical since I was 5. My regular piano is a Mason Hamlin which is a wonderful instrument I bought decades ago. They now start at $35, 000 to over $100, 000 new so happy I bought so long ago. The new ones after 2021 sound great and their early pianos are also wonderful. I recently started focusing on the Baroque period so I’ll use the b2 Harpsichord and one of the organs for Bach and Rameau. I live in New England and would like a French harpsichord but have found none available so will see how much I like the Korg harpsichord sounds to see if it’s worth the money since I can’t repair the strings easily. I can also download other early clavs with this basic b2. The only piano make I love better than my M&H is the Fazioli - a wonderful Italian piano. The Korg Italian is based on it (they skirt around which Italian instrument they use but their Italian sound is very nice and sounds great when people demo it. The Fazioli sell for $150, 000 to $400, 000. Their Aria is about $800, 000. The International Chopin competition every 5 years allows Fazioli along with 3 other makes including the German Hamburg Steinway D. So, I think this well priced Korg piano keyboard is a wonderful deal for under $500. I may change my mind when I try it out. I have 2 granddaughters ages 5 and 6 who I’m teaching and I think they will have more fun on this keyboard and it’s less wear on my piano. If you are learning piano you want something that is nicely tuned so you can train your ear. I play daily and when I take a break for a month it takes some time to catch up. Not like riding a bicycle. You get rusty . If you have anxiety nothing can focus you better than playing a piano. You can probably find Oscar Levant on youtube who was a wonderful pianist but as neurotic and anxious as any human. You can’t detect it easily when he plays so if you have a child with ADHD or OCD or similar problems a piano is better than any medication. Hopefully I won’t need to update my review because this instrument disappoints me.

After driving everyone crazy with my out of tune 1970s Wurlitzer, I decided to buy a digital piano so I could play with headphones. Really had to have a keyboard that felt like the real thing. After watching a ton of videos on YouTube, it was this test drive of the Korg B2 that really sold me.

Ordered on Sunday, got a call that evening from a Sweetwater rep to confirm that it was being packed to ship and would arrive on Wednesday, which it did.

The stand was very easy to assemble, less than 30 mins. Wow, this thing through headphones sounds like a dream. The Italian Piano setting is much superior to the default German.

Korg B2 and Sweetwater are A+++!!

Found it for 400 bucks cad... Jesus. The sounds are insane, best I've heard at this price point, in fact among the best I've heard period, especially that german piano and the first sound in the demo... damn. USB carry audio as well? Sold.

You had me at "Darn That Dream." Great video, really like how you demoed all of the sounds, especially when you play the same song with the different voices.

This demo is labeled B2N demo, yet Jacob says B2 instead of B2N. Since the B2 and B2N are nearly identical, aside from the weighted keys, this is an excellent demo for either keyboard.

It might be helpful if someone like Jacob at Sweetwater would discuss the feel of each keybed of these two models, while demoing their shared features.

Weighted keys (particularly hammer action) have been talked up in recent years and for the higher price, they should have much to offer. They do have more moving parts, however.

When I look online I see comments from people having issues with hammer weighted keys. Similar experiences seem to be reported from keyboard owners of all major brands in the under $1, 000 range. Sometimes they have a key or many keys that are dead on arrival. In other cases, the keys get noisy weeks or malfunction months later.

One advantage of a semi-weighted or non-weighted keyboard is perhaps a lower risk of the need for maintenance. I have been in pursuit of a keyboard like the B2N which has 88 keys that are semi-weighted.

I am also considering the popular 76 key Piaggero (NP32) from Yamaha. Seems most 61 key boards are non-weighted and most 88 key boards have hammer-weighted action.

A fantastic option might be the Korg B2N, with all of the features of the B2, but without semi-weighted keys.

At the moment, however, very little is said about the B2N (and its semi-weighted keys) by anyone other than the manufacturer and the retail outlets.

I have the same question as many people, is this digital piano with weighted keys or not, because I see that there is a general doubt and they show the b2 and the b2n as the same model and clearly they are not. Does the b2n have hammer action weighted keys or not? Be precise in your answers @Sweetwater

What did you like the most in B2 and what would you improve or dislike about B2?

It says B2N, but you are talking about B2. Are those the same thing? I understand the B2N doesnt have hammer keys. Is that right?
