Texas Education Agency Teacher Ethics Training Module 4: Behavior Off Campus (Part 2 of 2)

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) takes ethical violations very seriously! To provide educators with a case study on poor ethical choices, the TEA developed four training modules in the style of "The Office" to display extreme behaviors that are not tolerated as an education professional.

The videos tell a story and should be watched in sequential order to see the progression and development of the storyline, and how the consequences of making poor choices including loss of teaching credentials, and in some instances cause jail time for offenses.

These videos are AWESOME!! When will you guys post another one!! They are really relevant and put the situations that truly occur in perspective. I want to know what happens to the rest of the teachers...does Principal Wright complete his mission to address all the ethical issues? Does he move on to another school or does he stay there?? I love the inclusion of the 50's movie clips...they were hilarious especially the tennis boundaries. I will definitely remember that one during my first year of teaching!

Cool training videos.

The video failed to mention a likely consequence of the coach's texting episode. He sent an inappropriate pic to a student. At a minimum he lost his job. He also may face criminal charges.

Be careful out there.
