I'm probably going to get chewed out, but i like to throw a level in aqua boy. being able to use water to travel around and avoid conflicts is a life saver, literally.

Aqua boy is my favorite perk for this mode. I know it takes a lot of endurance. But being able to swim under water lets you get to bunker hill with ease. You can get to goodneighbor to with some careful fighting. Just clear a path from sanctuary to covenant. Then jump in the water. nothing aggros

I don't truly agree with this list as some perks on this list while aimed at survival mode are still pretty useless.

Toughness is very weak as 10 damage resistance is very minute and a rank of endurance or the first two ranks of lone wanderer make you tankier and lone wanderer also has the carry capacity bonus.

Lead belly is just not useful. If you find the wasteland survival guide in sunshine tidings it makes animals drop about twice as much meat and since you can cook any meat at any level near enough anywhere lead belly is useless. For water all you need to do is bypass a settlement and use a water pump and bring purified water with you on adventures which you can collect from pumping empty bottles with water at water pumps.

Sneak I totally agree with as cowardice is often the best option and sneak helps alot.

Awareness is more of a "makes life easier" perk as most survival mode players would know the average level of the enemy's they face so it just makes life easier.

This video was unique as it didn't just say lone wanderer and riflemen and other perk of that nature but I believe it is too outside the box and if you make a video called "the best survival mode perks you should just say the best perks that are also the best in survival mode.

I still enjoyed the video and I would recommend for you to watch Many A True Nerd's survival mode playthrough as it is brilliant but anyway great insight and video as always

Instead of toughness & lead belly, I took nuclear physicist and just put a rad scrubber on my power armor. That way I get a lot of life from my fusion cores, I can eat and drink whatever I want.

I dont truly agree with your list.
Toughness its to Weak to less boni for 5 Skillpoints.
Lead Belly: i know it sounds nice BUT you can build nearly the same in a Power Armor Helmet (Rad Scrubbers). And it did not help for Infections most of the time Parasites.
Awarenes its nice for only 1 Skillpoint i like it to.
Sneak: i think its one of the best skills in the game.
Medic: i only have 1 point in this skill to craft the Medic trader shop in settlements.

My top 5 skills for Survival Mode:
Nuclear Physicist: 100% More Power to Fusion Cores are a nice Buff so you can use your Power Armor much more or like me all the time.
Rifleman: A Dead enemy cant kill you^^ and the Overseers Guardian is a very good Weapon and very easy to get. Ammo can be heavy so i only use semi auto guns.
Chemist: only Rank 1 to craft Antibiotics.
Sneak: about that what you say in your video very nice skill.
Armorer, Gun Nut and Science! yea i know that are 3 skills^^ but i think they are all the same. most of the stuff you can craft for guns, armor, robots are very very powerfull and will help you to survive.

I hope it helps a little bit and i like your videos :-)

Do you think you could do a gameplay? If it's not too much of a time crunch.

Sic Vids, though I have some differences of opinion.Lead belly and toughness are pretty crap. The damage resistance  is so low and the radiation from food is not nearly as threatening as illness and can be easily avoided. Awareness is an all around decent perk but not really top tier.Sneak is On point and Bat shit Op. But medic  is kinda bad on survival compared to other modes. Stimpacks will be used FAR less in survival as they dehydrate your character. almost all the time until very high levels/ hp cooked food will be far and away a much better healing option, save from having crippled limbs. radaway Is even worse as it lowers your immune system and makes you hungry and tired. so basically survival is kinda the anti Medic mode. It's best used for fixing crippled limbs and the moments when you REALLY have to clear radiation, which will be very seldom.Overall I think that the best perks are.  Lone wanderer, Demolitions expert, strong back, armorer and local leader in conjunction with you characters core damage build. If you Really need more defense, train endurance stat. That's what ive gotten to know from playing the new survival mode sence the beta like a coke fiend. If you haven't yet, try a all mele assassin build with those perks its crazy fun but hard at times.

It's not much of a survival mode if you're level 82. Lol
