What else would you add to this list? 🤔

After comparing my experience with destiny 2, most of these i only notice are problems just now. In d1s lifecycle, they were kinda just.. normal.

My friend actually just started playing Destiny 1 a few weeks back, and I’ll tell you something. He probably has mentioned at least 90% of these

I love how almost everything you mentioned is exactly why i prefer destiny 1 over 2

So nostalgic and I kinda miss some of these pain points like the crazy hard quests to get that godly weapon. It made it so worth it to know you had to work to get something that would separate you from the rest of the pack.

I miss the good ole days when my warlock was powerful and had good exotics. It was nice not losing content as well.

I kinda wanted to be proven that D1 had some real issues with it, but it feels like all of these are small QoL issues that could have been fixed if there was never a D2.

Destiny was and is so much simpler of a grind. I've never gotten bored going in and just raiding and farming materials and been playing since beta. Always something to do or get in the game too

Funny how mantling object was showed off in around the beginning of d2. When the Guardian woke up after Gual seal the light and the was a wall too high to jump over. I was like "He can climb up the ledges now"

I miss D1 a lot, the times were great. I've been playing since the Alpha, and Beta, this game was the pinnacle of social features. I really do miss this game.

The thing about the gun not being level I like give a grind that is very needed now loot just handed to you and then there is nothing to do

5 years ago this would have been 100 reasons Destiny 2 sucks. Funny how much has changed since the D2 launch and Curse of Osiris days.

You couldn’t summon your sparrow instantly.

A lot of weapon perks were a little lame.

You couldn’t dismantle things at the postmaster.

No raid banners.

No transmog.

No smgs, linears, trace rifles, glaves or bows.

No fast travel points on patrol zones.

No lost sectors.

Tbh I actually liked unlocking the perks of my weapons.
It gave me something to chase, and it felt great as your weapon got better the more you used it.
For the rest, as you said at the end, these are only seen as faults after D2 improved on them, which is to be expected.
Imo the biggest pain point for me overall, is not that D1 had it's faults, but that D2 failed to keep all the positive features of D1, while ironing out all the bad things in D1.
Also... why are we still unable to change our Guardian's face without deleting and making a new character?
Seriously, so many games have allowed players to change the character's face mid game without any issues for years.

I think about the d1 that they marketed to us as this huge social platform, remember the vidocs that showed crazy good mobile features? It's so static and repetitive these days. I want alerts telling me to go to a location cause "something crazy" is happening and will get cool loot.

Watching Mara Sov in the reef in d1 was like the best part of making new characters LMAO

Yeah nobody remembers the D1 dry spells when there was 0 content for months. D1 demonstrated a lot of fantastic ideas however D2 refined those much further and the game is far easier to actually achieve things as casual players with RNG than endless grinds

For a short time after The Taken King, powerful drops from the raid could drop lower level. It wasnt until a few weeks/months later that they will always be at your level or higher.

I just realized the rare material that drops from the planetary materials for the sword quests in D1, is LITERALLY the nightfall Momento

I wish they'd bring the khvostov and the No Land Beyond back as exotics. I also miss the artifact that disabled your super but gave you 2 charges of your grenade and powered melee. I had so much fun as a void hunter with the invisibility smoke bomb. However one thing I did hate was lack of builds specifically during the few raids that I actually played. Gallajhorn was required on Crota's end. I had to be a void hunter on King's Fall because of the tether. People demanding in raids that I have whisper or they would kick me. So few people wiling to teach you how to raid at all. It's gotten better but there are still problems within the community regarding knowledge of raids and demanding that you have certain mods equipped.
