This video series is one of the my favorites. This is monumental. There is no place for empty words, well-chosen examples, instructor does not spend 30 seconds to write a simple sentence, great lectures planned in advance, no single second is wasted in these videos, excellent quality.

I wish that one day you can have time to prepare indepth series addresing some of these themes. Especially Abstract Algebra and Topology.

I'm just about to start a university course on physics and electrical and electronic engineering and these videos really helped clarify and cement the foundations of my mathematical knowledge. Thank you so much.

Hi Bill Shillito (I like your name) =),

I would to say, thank you, for taking the time and effort to upload and share this video with the youtube family. I hope you have a nice day, Bill! =).

I'm trying to "like" mathematics by studying it once in a while, even though my university major(nursing/premed) doesn't require a lot of it(just basically in chemistry related classes). These videos are helping me a lot to get a re-introduction to what i've studied in high school but somehow i can't remember any of that, just slight glimpses like the quadratic formula and bhaskara's formula lol Thanks for posting these videos!!

Dude, five minutes in and I love everything your saying. I hated math in school, but was always good at it. Now I understand why. It wasn't taught right. I always loved science, however, because it was practical application of math instead of word "problems" that didn't equate to much. And when I started working, I shyed away from jobs that used a whole lot of math, but when I started working a job in construction, I thrived on solving problems using what I actually retained from school. I also have developed a fascination of math being in everything, from music and art to sports to our biological makeup. You are the math teacher I needed in high school.

Yes, found it again. These classes are great and at 27 I'm desperate to gain the Maths ability I let slip due to bad personal development in my more formative years. Cheers

I've always had trouble with abstract mathematical concepts, altough not in any basic, fundemental way, but anytime lesson dove into more complex proofs or propositions, I slammed into a wall. thanks for this series :)

What a great video. I have been enjoying the videos later in the series and I decided to watch the first one. Imagine my surprise when I realized they were made by someone whom I have had conversations about math with in real life.

Thanks for posting this mathematics series. I am studying for the Arizona single subject test for an alternate credential. I just took the test but it was a huge nightmare with way too little time allotted for the questions, so I'm hoping this course can speed up my test taking and fill in gaps, since they the study material they provided was totally inadequate. Thanks again.
