Yes, Shaw has been a villain in the comics, but like you said, not a major villain.

Xavier and Beast are my second and third favorite X men respectively. Wolverine is first, storm is fourth. I want a good storm, I have gotten two good xaviers, two good beasts, and one wolverine in 10 x men movies. Halle Berry and the new girl are both fine I hope the new girl really becomes a great storm.

Magneto's powers are lit, and very visually interesting in film form

I don’t think Anna Paquin’s Rogue is bad at all, she’s just a lot more accurate to her portrayal on “X-Men: Evolution” than XTAS in being a teen goth. I think it’s a cool way to adapt the character and makes sense that she’d distance herself from people

I find Magneto and Charles interesting. They, along with their relationship, as well as Magneto's nazi hunt made me love it :) I had reservations about a new cast but love it more than the previous three :) Charles doesn't want to look at Mystique because she's basically naked when blue. And he has never been one to force her to stay, so he had to let her go. I have a question though: Charles didn't want Magneto to kill Shaw, but then, what was his plan? How was he gonna stop him? And this: How did Charles survive when Jean killed him?

Um to say that Magneto is not a character that fans care for or would pay to see...yeah thats crazy...Maybe if you mean as a hero but overall people love Magneto he is an iconic antagonist and one of Marvels top guys

I think that the problem is that the writers knew that they needed to come up with SOME kind of justifiable explanation as to why Mystique would end up loyal to Magneto, so they thought that having Charles slowly accidentally alienate her would do the trick, but it does come across as odd since he's not the type to act this way with mutants.

gambit rouge and the rest u mentioned are not actually members of xmen during the early days. they only appeared in the uncanny xmen episodes. which during that timeline havoc the brother of cyclops is no longer an xmen because he went with cable as an xforce
