I kind of like the mouse "gimmick." I think, if done right, it could be used well for FPS games. The price of everything, and the fact that there is a paywall for a button on the controller, is making me second-guess purchasing one. It might be the first Nintendo console I skip in a long time. I believe, for a system that is supposed to be kid- and family-friendly, to cost this much for games and accessories is a bit overkill.

The console price is slightly high, but the game pricing is silly. Add in the fact that Nintendo hardly ever puts old titles on sale. No OLED screen and charging customers for the tutorial are also odd choices.

As a European citizen, I've had the opportunity to preorder the system for more than a week by now. I took the chance a week ago and preordered the MKW bundle. Can't wait June 5's arrival. I own a 1st gen Switch and will keep that, too. Have some backlog on Switch 1 and the existing 3 pairs of joy-cons will be useful in couch coop parties. N has made a great new gen, the increasing game prices are unfortunate, but I think it was just a matter of time to face a general price increase of games. The prices have been constant for 15 or 20 years which fact has made gaming software a uniqe product category (what else has kept it price for this long in the world?)

There are tech YouTubers like Austin Evans (even Ellis) who feels like this was inevitable and ppl should move on. He is a YouTube millionaire and also a switch enthusiast so he just doesn’t care. It seriously pisses me off when I see ppl like that. They will convince kids to think that spending so much money like this is not a big deal and it’s whining to complain about it.

I'm most excited for mouse functionality. The steam deck solution was bad for mouse control and fps/strategy games are so much better with mouse mode. I reckon steam deck 2 will have the same feature.

Can you use a gaming headset, get game sound, and chat with friends without the stupid app? I just got a switch.... 2 months ago and using AirPods Pro 2. I can only one audio source at a time.
