Hi Everyone! happy Tuesday. I'm a bit late on this trend on "How to Romanticize Your Life" and "How to Become the Main Character," but I think this is a really important topic and I wanted to create my own video. I hope you enjoy!

My inspiration for this video: @DarlingDesi

Also a part of romanticizing/being the main character is knowing that whatever comes is temporary. Like in a movie, you know the lows WILL be overcome -- and that's really awesome if you ask me!

I started to romanticize my life a couple of years ago, literally feeling like the main character of a series or a web novel etc. And it was literally the best thing ever. I normally hate lifestyle trends because they often contain some toxicity but this has helped me overcome my depression (which was years long and very severe). I turned from someone who wanted to die pretty much everyday to someone who looks at a flower and feels all the luck in the world. I never would have imagined I would say I love life so so much. Altough the daily life and routine (especially work) make it sometimes really hard - I still try to appreciate it whenever it goes - like picturing how my fav collueges and I are in a soap and dealing with our work problems. But life is sometimes hard and not everything can and should be romanticized. Being sad sometimes is necessary as well :) Gread advise in the video nontheless, I love it!

*I try my best to live every day and not only to exist, but to enjoy the simple things. I find that living life through the good and the bad times helps us to grow and create memories that we can look back on and cherish because they made us who we are. One day we will be grandparents and our lives will be a novel worth telling our grandchildren because we chose to live.* 😊💕

"Perception shapes reality, so why not make it a beautiful one?" 🙏 couldn't agree more. Wonderfully said. I love how your vids are like a journal entry that you share with us.

I don't think I've ever thought about "romanticizing" my life! I certainly try to enjoy and to appreciate the small things in life but this video gives me a completely new perspective! Thanks for another wonderful and thoughtful video!

I am at a crossroads in my life. Not feeling satisfied with an "introverted" lifestyle yet challenged to get out into the real world again. Trying to stay present and allow my journey to unfold gracefully. I am grateful the Youtube algorithm lead me to you. I look forward to Tuesdays and watching your videos each week. You are the peaceful space I need with my hectic work environment. Sending you blessings ❤

Thank you for reminding me that I’m “in the driver’s seat of my own life”. I often forget that.

My favorite author Stuart Wilde wrote "Once you do not have to accommodate people, you can begin to act in a measured way. This means weighing events and decision in the light of your own needs, your own nurturing, your own growth. Then if you wish to help someone, you do so from your own volition, not from a feeling of having to or from their manipulation. By being forthright and act in a measured way you move gently through the consciousness of the day. You do not run, you do not hurry and you set up time frames that are comfortable for you." book (Affirmations )

I've been working on doing this too! There's is so much beauty in making a cup of coffee, taking a walk, etc. It's made me fall in love with my life so much more.

Yes! Sometimes it’s good to close your eyes and see yourself from outside- snuggled up safely with your delicious snack, for example. How that would be described in a book, and we‘re living it, such comfort. It’s so important to notice our beautiful lucky moments.

"We have the power to make an incredibly interesting story with the plot that's been handed to us because perception is what shapes reality so why not make it a beautiful one"

Me: ... "Why not make it a beautiful one." I just got more motivated and inspired deep within. Thanks!

In my mind lately I have had these same thoughts. I wonder if I am a fool or a simpleton when I can take a few steps into the woods and take such full joy in seeing some leaves sprout at the end of a stem, or a tiny insect making their way across a branch. Nothing needs fixing. And then I look back at the house filled with scores of items that had to be purchased and fixed and maintained. If only I could tell my young daughter to not toil too much in life searching for happiness when it already abounds all around us.

4:55 Being culturally raised to meet the needs of others, we can at times lose our way. Listening to your wise reflections have helped me to regain balance; to re visit priorities & to savor the beauty along our path. Sending love & gratitude your way Sophie 💝 Aloha

I absolutely loved it 😍 Thank you so much Sophie. The way you put difficult chores as challenging tasks and learning from past mistakes I wish I had heard it earlier.

such a beautiful perspective. I have really found it to be a practice as well, and it's one of those things you come back to.

I love how you bring this idea from concept into examples from your own life. I've been considering this in my own videos as well, how we write the story of our life, preferably with greater awareness. You definitely inspired me, thanks!
