Look, I have been diagnosed with brain cancer twice in my life. Once was when I was 6 months old and another time was when I was 16. Both times my parents insurance said my parents might as well just keep me comfortable until I die. If not for my mother fighting as hard as she did I wouldn’t be 27 today. I am extremely aware that there have to be children like myself who weren’t as lucky as me. Luigi killed a murderer. No tears from me.

The fact that a so called “healthcare” company can make a yearly profit of $23 billion all the while denying claims and breaking insider trading laws and not being heavily monitored by the government maybe we (the people) do need to take matters into our own hands. Efforts for change through politics have failed.

I vote, I make phone calls, I sign petitions, I protest and march and hold signs, I advocate— but it’s incredibly frustrating how everything I do seems to have such little impact. I’m not going to stop doing those things and I appreciate that I have the freedom to protest in America. But I’ve seen so many people denied access to rehab and put myself and my family into medical debt going through treatment in the past despite my mom’s high deductible insurance. Ive always been anti-guns as a whole but after reading Luigi’s manifesto and hearing horror stories from people across the political spectrum I’m closer to buying a gun then I ever have been.
