Holy cow! I can’t thank you enough for posting this video!!! I recently got the Pro 600 and I really thought something was the matter with it. It’s so much louder than my old Pro 500. I hate it! It’s not just the loudness, it’s the infernal metallic whirring, nearly grinding, noise. I refuse to wear earplugs just to use a mixer, so back it goes. Thanks again for the super video!

just bought a Pro 5 Plus second hand and started panicking because I thought it was broken because of the sound, thank you for proving this is actually what it sounds like when working properly!!!

Hi Amy, may i ask if the bowl of pro 600 can use for the pro 5 plus?

Take a look at the tops of all three. The pro 5 and the pro 6 don’t have the black screws on the casing. This means the lids can’t easily be removed for repair. I’m also wondering now if they have electronic speed control. Unlike the older white one. However, I did notice the pro 5 didn’t shake at all at the highest speed. The older white one shook the most..

Do you find that the bowl of the 5 plus (similar to the Pro 600) or the pro 500 is better for your baking? I am deciding between them, and I don't know if a more narrow or wider bowl is better for whipping up egg whites and heavy cream.

to my knowledge the main difference in the professional versus the plus is the wider bowl compared to your original. they still sell the ones like yours with your bowl. It will be interesting to see how you like it with the wider bowl and how it works. thanks for the video

I think the Pro 5 Plus is the most louderest one of the three. Listening to them reminds me of an aircraft flight line. How come you dint have the red mixer out and fire that one up? Just askin...

It's interesting to know how yours sounds because I just got a reconditioned one and the noise it emits was making me think that it wasn't reconditioned properly. But it looks like they're just noisy. So thank you. I have headphones to wear when I use my KitchenAid blender anyway.

My father has a Pro 5 Plus I gave him that's over 15 years old. It's still strong as an ox, running like it did the day I bought it. It is a tough little mixer!

I got my very first KA stand mixer back in April, almost like this one in the video but mine is a silver 6qt. I thought there was something wrong with it BC of how loud it was! Mine is as loud as your brand new blue one! Good to know its a normal sound! ❤ lol

I’d say the Pro 5 plus seems the noisiest. They all sound powerful. The Pro 6 seems nice. I just got an Artisan 5 quart, 325 and like it a lot for my uses.

What is interesting is the combi whip is designed just like my 3B 1940 Kitchenaid mixer. Cool!

Which one do you recommend Pro 5 KV25G0XER (Target Professional 5 - 525W) or KP26M9PC (Costco Professional 6- 590W) ? On sale Pro 5 is around $200 and Pro 6 on sale is $299 on sale. Motors are definitely one key difference and some extra accessories. Our usage is not like a professional user use mostly to kneed dough and sometime for cake batter

Thanks for their video. You guys were making me laugh. I just used my first mixer, the pro 500 plus and I was surprised by the noise. I think my mom gave the original 500. I thought something might be wrong, but it seems to be fine!
