I can't explain it, but I've been bitten by the bicycle bug. I've been riding big box bikes all my life and this year I decided to spend a little extra change on my kids' bike at a local bike shop. IT WAS SO DIFFERENT! The ride was smooth... and he had SO much fun. I bought him a second one for Christmas and now I need one lol - but that's not it. Because of how I'm wired I want to build them! Just because there is a lot of information available in the internet doesn't make it practical to actually work with. Definitely gonna buy your book. Just started repairing my families bicycles and there is so much to learn. It is definitely gonna help a lot to have the information bundled.

BBB-1 is how I learned bicycle maintenance, long before there were any YouTube videos on bike repair. I will be buying BBB-4. Calvin is right, there is no substitute for a good "hard copy" reference available in the shop.

A bicycle maintenance book that was written by Calvin Jones, Purchasing the book was a no brainer. Yes, Calvin in today's technological era watching the youtube videos as well as reading the book helps out a lot. I bought 2 by accident and was going to return 1, I ended up leaving it at work with my Soldiers and they use it religiously I'm so glad that I did get the 2 books as well as my Soldiers. They take extreme care of the book. We ride all week and work on our bikes as well as for our students to use during their downtime and to commute to and from work.

I bought my first Big Blue Book 10 years ago. Before this, bikes and especially gearing were a bit of a mystery to me but suddenly having all the answers in an easy to follow manual literally changed my life. I know I can find all the answers on the internet but for me, a well written textbook is just so convenient. I’m on my second book and I gave away my grease stained first copy to a fellow cyclist at work who now services his whole family’s bikes on his own.

Great that we have the internet for everything we need to know. I just love books. To hold and turn the pages back and fourth. Get bored of iPhones and tablets etc. This is a great book. If you own a bike then get one...

Thanks Calvin! Book is a book is a book... my "carage" is situated in a bomb shelter with more than 20 meters of solid rock above. Zero connectivity. And whenever I need to check something on-line, I need to get outside. Which at least during winter time with temperatures well below minus twenty deg celsius is a "bit" inconvenient.

Definitely will get this book when it's available outside US.

I have an old version of the Big Blue Book from around 2003 or so maybe? Its a staple in my garage and I reference it often. The internet is good, but often times its best just to break out the book and read.
