-Today Xbox and Bethesda announced that both Starfield and Redfall are being delayed out of 2022 and into the first half of 2023. This is a big deal for Xbox fans of course, but this also opens up a golden opportunity for PlayStation and games such as God of War Ragnarok and more.

The remainder of 2022 is Sony's to take if they are able to. However, 2023 just got a lot more interesting when it comes to both Sony and Microsoft.

So this means xbox games studios has launched more games on playstation than games on their own console.

Bethesda is working hard to ensure that Starfield is a buggy mess at launch. It just works.

Sony doesn't care what last place is doing they're just gonna keep executing and bringing fantastic games that's all I ask for

Why would Sony need to have something up their sleeve for 2022? We have (or are getting) GT7, Horizon Forbidden West, Sifu, Forespoken, God of War Ragnarok. This is a large number of heavy hitters for a given year.

Microsoft should sell the xbox division to a company that actually cares about gaming.

There were really people that believed that Starfield would release in November 2022. I never believed it. Bethesda normally announces games release dates only 4-5 months before release. So the November 2022 date was suspicious from the get go.

Xbox fanboys will still say xbox killed it this year 😂

Sony can delay either Final Fantasy XVI or God of War Ragnarok and still win 2022

As an Xbox owner I can say that besides Forza, MS hasn't released a big game in years. They get too much credit for nothing. I also think MS doesn't care because they know people will buy every Series X available just like Sony probably doesn't care because people will buy every PS5 no matter what games get release.

Remember that one Dev who called the engine crap and all the Xbots were denying he even worked at Bethesda. Maybe he wasn’t lying lmao

Ok, so what am I supposed to buy for my series X this year? So I am going on 2 years with one game on my series X.

This is nonsense

Redfall looks like it'll turn out to be mediocre. Starfield can go either way but I lean more towards it being weak too. I just don't trust Bethesda.

2022 has been one of the worst years yet for a Xbox console

This definitely makes 2022 a bust for Microsoft but in the end I think them delaying the games is ultimately a good thing I don't think Sony was ever really threatened in anyway because of starfield or redfall they are already selling as many consoles as they can make.

I have feeling, that phil spencer and bethesda knew they couldn’t release the game in 2022 but they needed the hype for game pass subscription growth.

Now I don’t know what to think of this. Under normal circumstances, a game that’s delayed once or maybe twice is usually seen as a good thing because it means more time for it to be polished. But this is almost never the case with Xbox. This is exactly what happened with Halo Infinite, it got delayed and people reasonably assumed that meant we would get a polished, content-rich next gen experience, but the game was barebones and underdelivered and now the whole player base is gone. The same thing happened with Crackdown 3 and numerous other Xbox games. It seems that Starfield and Redfall are headed down the same path. The question is what’s the cause for this? Is this the fault of Microsoft’s inability to manage their studios and make them produce quality games, or is it the fault of gamepass making devs complacent because they have no incentive to make content-rich games? Or is it both?

ONCE AGAIN, THIS IS WHY I LOVE PLAYSTATION. THEY DELIVER AND ALWAYS HAVE SINCE PLAYSTATION 1.

God of war state of play being announced would be the nail in the coffin lol

I knew it. They keep promising and promising and always fail to deliver. What's the point of all of these acquisitions and buy outs if there's nothing to show for it? An an xbox owner myself this is infuriating. But luckily my PS5 will help with that blow, they've yet to disappoint me at all so far
