Pokémon Legends: Arceus but I can only use SHINIES

Can you beat Pokémon Legends: Arceus using only shiny pokemon? Well...yeah. But it took a while since I wasn't allowed to catch any others.

PSA: You can't unlock the shiny Ponyta quest unless you catch ponyta first. And per my rules, I can't just go catch any Ponyta.

My first shiny ever was a Bibarrel that I caught in Pokemon Platinum. After 30 minutes of playing Legend Arceus I got myself a shiny bidoof. Long live Bidoof

PSA: About the Dusclops, before you get asked to catch one, they do still spawn naturally in the same area, with the normal shiny odds, and then use that dusclops to fulfill the story quest requirement

I’ve been playing for 73 hours and got perfect Dex entries for Eevee and a few others the only shiny I’ve got is the Ponyta they give you lol…

A little distraught but yeah, maybe I can get the alphas instead and just give up on the shiny

You shouldnt save when you see the shiny during an outbreak.
The reason is it doesnt reroll the shiny rate. The outbreak is already predeterminedand which pokemon to be shiny is already set in its seed. It could be number 4, it could be number 100. You just dont know. All you had to do was reload the game at basecamp and go back to get it because the starly would ALWAYS be THAT number that appears (watch austin john plays recent video on shiny outbreaks).

The fact the outbreak was still there a second time was very lucky - you had a chance that the outbreak would have disappeared when you reloaded the game. Thats why you DONT SAVE infront of the shiny on an outbreak. If you kill the shiny or it runs away, just reset the game and reload from basecamp. Go back and catch all the pokemon again until it shows up.

The outbreak being only Pokemon you've caught might be a good way to target specific shinies. In a normal playthrough of course lol.
