I went 21 years not knowing that VA Disability even existed unless you were missing legs or in a wheelchair, but then I filed my first claim and went from 10% to 100% p&t in 17 months without using a VSO and only filed fully developed claims with all the evidence needed. I also never called and bothered the VA about the status of my claim.
Thank you Clay for putting out content that is helpful to the Veteran community.

I only have VA Health care and it’s been great. I feel cared for and I have many issues.

Thanks for your videos about 100% P&T being safe from further exams. keeps the rumination in check. Have a cool day.

Hmmm! You got me thinking. I'm not worried about losing my rating, but suspect the VA has been holding back.

I don’t see health care but once a year. I see private doctors regularly

I am PnT, over 55, go to VA docs regularly, have no intention of filing anything else, but I STILL am very afraid of the PnT getting taken away. I wish I could shake that feeling.

I like my VA doc, sometimes I worry that they are trying to circumvent military stuff. Like my headaches started after deployment in the service, to where I needed in treatment service. They commented well your xrays shows your skull was operated on, I stated when I was a baby.

I didn't get cronic headaches till after deployment and bad gear at work. Hopefully their comments don't cause me to lose this claim.

If I am 100% T&P do I need to even bother with the VA. My local VA is straight TRASH..

So if im 100 percent p&t does that mean my conditions are static

Caution pact act under cancer will reduce your rating within 6 months. However, they might seek secondaries, but you'll need to show it. It's not fair for those veterans who are suffering from those illness

If you are rated as 100% disabled by the VA, your disability benefits are generally considered P&T. This means that one's disability is deemed to be severe and permanent, that a veteran's benefits are not subject to routine re-evaluations or reductions.

However, as Clay noted, in some cases, the VA may conduct a re-evaluation of ya vets disability rating if there is evidence suggesting that the condition has improved. These re-evaluations typically occur under certain circumstances, such as when there is medical evidence indicating significant improvement in your condition or if you have requested a review yourself. As a consequence, and although inconvenient at times, I keep all video appointments for my PTSD.

Hot or miss with VA. Private doctor's are more experienced. I use tricare mostly. But if you need a specialist does the VA referral you to private specialist?

Retired after 30 in 2017. Have never darkened the door of the VA. Started out at 64% but with 7 service connected 0% ratings. Finally got upset enough about the zeros to submit my private Dr. info on the conditions, surgery results etc. All good now.

How about this: I am rated at 30% for PTSD and have been getting treatment since 2010 and have had the rating since 2011. With the new rating schedule that may be released in June, the guideline is there. I think the evidence puts me in either a 50% or 70% category. I get all of my MH through the VA. What else could I do to support the adjustment?

I have a 70% ptsd rating and every time I go to the Va for a mental health appointment I feel like they’re jotting down notes to dispute my rating.

I'm new here and I'm wondering what you mean by static?

I keep getting different answers from VA personnel. I am permanent but not total. Do I apply for total? I am rated 100.

Can you claim direct service connection AND as a secondary to explain a diagnosis and current symptoms??
