NOTE: Unit 4 is not included in the official AP Precalculus exam, but is still included in the curriculum.

Random AP Precalculus Problems (I found on the Internet). These are not official AP Collegeboard examples, but they will definitely get the job done!

To write the equation of a circle with radius \( \sqrt{10} \) and center at the origin, follow these steps:

1. **General Form of the Circle Equation**: The general equation of a circle with center \( (h, k) \) and radius \( r \) is given by:
\[ (x - h)^2 + (y - k)^2 = r^2 \]

2. **Substitute Center and Radius**: Since the center is at the origin \((0, 0)\) and the radius is \( \sqrt{10} \), substitute these values into the general equation:
\[ (x - 0)^2 + (y - 0)^2 = (\sqrt{10})^2 \]

3. **Simplify**: Simplify the equation:
\[ x^2 + y^2 = 10 \]

4. **Final Equation**: The equation of the circle with radius \( \sqrt{10} \) and center at the origin is:
\[ x^2 + y^2 = 10 \]

This equation represents all points in a plane that are a distance of \( \sqrt{10} \) away from the origin, forming a circle.
