Jimmy Carter's relationship with later presidents

Former President Jimmy Carter had an interesting dynamic with the presidents who held the Oval Office after him. American presidential historian Lindsay Chervinsky joined CBS News to talk about that.

It takes a special breed of person to want to be the US President. Can you imagine having a 24 hour job, 7 days a week, for a 4 year period in which you have to be at your best every, single day? Furthermore, every decision you make on any given minute, has the potential to cost lives.

Jimmy Carter was such a great human being! A true humanitarian and a man who truly loved helping people by uplifting people with his sweet wife at his side giving all he could to those who were in need.. Jimmy Carter defines what this country has been capable of ...Generosity, brotherhood of man. None of the hellish selfish behavior that has been displayed this year by those who will remain nameless as I wouldn't want to tarnish this night of remembrance of what America is all about when supported by people who have your back and aren't in the business of gleefully watching others suffer. I will miss him. He was the man!

I’m not acting like he was one of the top best Presidents by any means. But he was such a good person. He said what he felt, he tried to do what was right. He’s not a bad person, unlike most evil politicians who would obsess and abuse their power, he really tried and cared about the people, unfortunately with the inflation and gas prices of 1979 and the Iran Hostage Crisis he just had bad luck. But he still felt like a real leader and someone who wasn’t abusing his power. He made a peaceful relationship between Anwar El-Sadat & Menachem Begin and started the Camp David Accords for a framework for peace. Till this day he will still, he will go down in history as the president who made human rights central to his own foreign policy.
