hi greg i dunno if you are aware or not but the multi window issue you brought up there is options to force all windows to be resizeable in the developer options of the phone and also an option to have freeform windows just something for you to check out, great video as always

So I own both of these phones and compared them as well. Yes inner display is dope on the X fold. The crease is almost not noticeable. However after using the X fold for a few days (and I need it for work) I am giving it back: why? Software beats hardware. The Chinese software is just not made for Google and it will give you headaches all the time. Especially around notifications even if you apply all the tricks. But also on the HW side, there are many things that matter and are just better on the Samsung. Haptics for one. The vibration motor on the X Fold feels cheap. Keyboard responsiveness much better on the Samsung. Outer display on the Samsung gets way brighter than the Vivo, vivo is pretty dim outside especially in bright sunlight. Earpiece sound gets louder and sounds better on the Samsung. Also dobly atmos has a much more spacial sound than the Vivo. But yes, Vivos camera is miles better than the Samsung. A lot of reviewers praise the wider outside screen of the Vivo, but that makes it harder to hold and use with one hand compared to the Samsung

samsung needs to just put 2 Note size screen together and make it foldable and put the spen inside the phone, that would be a game changer

Seems like i am the only one who liked z fold3 over vivo . The look, software, water prove, less weight, perfect one handed outer screen for quick use other than that you gonna unfold it anyway , better hinge, s pen support, DEX feature

Thanks for the great comparison video Greg! Heres my two cents....I waited for a better folding phone because I wanted a bigger front screen, better cameras and less of a crease than I saw with Samsung 3. The front screen on this Vivo X Fold is 6.5 inches with a 21 by 9 aspect ratio. So it's very similar to our regular everyday non folding phones we've been using for the last 100 years or so. And because of that 6.5 familiar size it's very easy to use one handed and typing on that front screen is a pleasure.
The hardware on this phone is excellent the cameras are fantastic and much better than any foldables I've seen. That 8 inch display is currently the biggest in the market and outstanding for media consumption with a nearly non existent crease. The software like all Chinese software takes a bit to get used to but it's easy and the phone runs amazingly smooth @120hz. Notifications took me a minute but two steps and your good.
There is a lot of customization you can do to this phone, and I mean a lot, but to me I rather enjoyed the options of everything I could change to my liking.
My banking and financial apps all run with ease. I don't get into launchers. I haven't changed any of that. I enjoy the live wallpapers all the Google suites of products run great along with all my other apps so no issues there. I don't worry about battery much.... The phone chargers from 10 percent to 95 in around 35 minutes. So it can be dead in the morning and by the time you have a cup of coffee shower and shave its full.
I'm not sure about Android auto I can Bluetooth the phone to the car, so waze can let me now where the trouble is and also listen to YouTube or any app and make hands free phone calls thru the cars audio. That's about all I need. It does work on MetroPCS, TMobile and I've seen a video of it working on AT&T as well. The only thing I can see as a knock against the Vivo X phone at least in the few weeks I've had it is its not worldwide. In other words You won't find too many vivo stores here in the states to make repairs or returns. If your on the fence about it... I hope this helps.

Please turn on 1 of your YouTube videos and put them full screen in portrait and landscape so we can see if the black bars disappear side by side that is the dream to unfold and full screen video playback or as close to it as possible

Vivo has done well with this device. However, America being an official market for Samsung and their devices makes all the difference to me. The support is imperative! Samsung has competition and that’s good for all of us!

In terms of the video samples, I thought the Vivo X Fold did so so much better. For the pictures, it didn't look like you used the same settings on both cameras. I have a question for you, were you able to swap out the standard MMS app for Google messenger? In the video it looks like you did, but I just wanted to ask if it stuck or switched back to the stock version, like it does on the Oppo Find N.

So wondering what all I will be missing out if I get the Vivo Fold (White)

Have you been able to do landscape split screen with YouTube? I've only seen portrait. I'm trying to see if they've sent a software update yet for that.

The Fold does it in landscape as well. That makes a big difference.
