Awesome stuff. Well done. About the only thing I'd add, is that it only takes a secod or so to trim those zip ties absolutely flush. The sharp tails will open someone up if they're not careful. Other than that, love your work. 👍

Woah!! Thank you so much, It helps a ton to understand torsion bars. The most detailed Al-Ko suspensions video I've ever seen.

I've read in caravan forums, after a few years, torsion bars can be tighten a bit to recover the original rear height (It's for a 2016 Dethleffs XLI, tandem axle). Is the disambly needed? What's your opinion? Another video about that will help thousands of people suffering from al-ko chassis low clearance. Thank you

Thanks very much for the insight, helped me adjust the height of one side of the MO although my hub has a 46 mm nut on it so decided to just take out the bars without removing the disk . the bars looked like new and tube did slide in and our smoothly so i think all's good.

Thats one rusty underside! The grease fitting onto the axle seems loose, what sort of thickness do you have in the axle tube and bushing to fit the brass fitting without it fouling the shaft ? I Like the idea of the neoprene seal. Nice video, thanks.

Hi great video and insight, two bits of information I’d like to know please, when you put the bars back in how did you know the hole was at the right place to bang the pins in ? Or is it a case of out again and move it a spline round ?
And what torque settings are the 4 carrier bolts on the hub ? As I was hoping for that info as can’t find it anywhere, many thanks

Great video! I have a question, i have a 3500kg ex military trailer
(al-ko jeco 411 j) ive converted it to a timber trailer can i just drop the hubs a bit lower on the torsion bar spline to stop them bottoming out when i overload it with logs, the tight aberdonian farmer in me says this is the solution. Maybe some uprated bars is a better option.
